| The Task Force on Nature Markets was launched in April 2022 to identify and highlight the potential and dangers of the rise of nature-based markets and set out what needs to be done to ensure that such emerging markets promote equitable and nature-positive outcomes. In this report, the Task Force on Nature Markets includes seven main recommendations, and many more detailed specific recommendations that address securities design, governance and regulation. They aim to help avoid the worst outcomes for nature and make environmental markets a key enabler of the just transition to a sustainable post-carbon economy, in which all humanity, and nature at large, can thrive on a healthy planet. |
