The Deforestation Action Tracker 2023: An essential stocktake of finance sector action
Detalles
| The report is based on the assessments of more than 700 financial institutions on their actions on deforestation, conversion and associated human rights abuses. Assessments are based solely on publicly available information to encourage greater transparency on the part of financial institutions. Any publicly available information on financial institutions' websites during the evaluation period, which ran from May 22 to August 31, 2023, was considered. The report also includes recommendations for financial institutions to urgently move forward with their actions on deforestation and for GFANZ and other net-zero coalitions to require progress reports. All data collected as part of the 2023 deforestation action tracker is publicly available for download and the methodology is available at this link. Details on how the financial institutions were assessed, including the full list of those included in the initial review, are available in the methodology. |
