First mapping of needs and resources on the Ecosystem Condition Protocol (EC Protocol) preparation
Detalles
| This document is established as part of a first phase of preparation of the Protocol on the Condition of the Ecosystem (EC Protocol). It reviews the issues that have been identified to date as important for inclusion in a Protocol on the Condition of the Ecosystem, with the purpose of mapping the questions that would be answered by the Protocol and the possible sources of information, in particular it provides: • The list of topics with key questions on the condition of ecosystems that could be answered in a Protocol on the condition of ecosystems. • For each topic, sources of information and guidance already identified (acknowledgment of sources is not exhaustive). The content should be considered temporary and as a first basis for work, written for a first step in the study of market needs. A public consultation is open until 15 September 2024 and aims to: • Receive comments and suggestions for modifications or additions to the topics identified and suggested so far; • Confirm the market needs that the Protocol would respond to and guide future work on the Protocol. • Provide a first basis for discussion with key stakeholders about their participation in the initiative. Based on the comments received, version 0.1 of the Protocol will be drafted and published later in 2024-2025. |
