The restoration of degraded spaces is a process subject to continuous scientific and technical improvement, which is a challenge for all professionals in the sector, who, in many cases, need to provide feedback on the knowledge acquired in restoration practices.
In this sense, the Biodiversity Foundation of the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO) has funded the study "Ecological restoration: examples of technical bases and practical solutions" to provide restoration professionals (current and future) with guidance when it comes to restoring a given space. It is a knowledge transfer effort in which 50 experts have participated, bringing together, under a common structure, an enormous amount of information and experiences on recurring issues that arise when designing and developing an ecological restoration project. The document, organised by ecosystem groups, disturbance factors and cross-cutting aspects such as climate change or citizen participation, is completed with a portfolio of 90 practical cases.
