| SEO/BirdLife has developed compatibility maps that are the cartographic representation of the "Responsible Renewables" project, promoted by the NGO the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC). The main objective of this cartographic aspect is to put into practice the premise of "Where Matters" by pointing out those areas that are most sensitive and, therefore, also those areas that are less harmful to the environment in relation to the implementation of Renewable Energy installations. The maps below show us, on the one hand, the exclusion zones according to the space factor (this layer is disabled by default, but it can be activated); and a classification of the territory according to the different technology to be implemented, taking into account the species factor; which can be consulted by clicking anywhere on the map. |
