With regard to biodiversity, the results of COP16 in Cali stand out, such as the action plan on biodiversity and health, the procedures for describing Biologically and Ecologically Significant Areas (EBSAs) in the oceans or the so-called Cali Fund, dedicated to channeling part of the benefits derived from the use of information from digital sequences of genetic resources to biodiversity.
