Navigating the green shift: overcoming challenges in climate and nature transition finance

Detalles

While several central banks and financial supervisors have made significant progress in addressing climate and nature-related risks and opportunities, significant gaps remain and progress is uneven.

This webinar discussed the findings of WWF's 2023 assessment on Sustainable Financial Regulations and Central Bank Activities (SUSREG) and discussed the report's key recommendations. Valuable insights were shared that shed light on the proactive measures taken by central banks and financial supervisors to facilitate the transition of the financial sector.

Now in its third year, the SUSREG assessment is formulated as part of WWF's Greening Financial Regulation Initiative (GFRI), which brings together a broad network of environmental scientists and finance professionals to support the transition to a nature-positive, net-zero economy.

The SUSREG methodology is the result of numerous strategic engagements and the exchange of expertise with central banks, financial supervisors, expert bodies and WWF's network of national offices.
