FHYN carbon footprint and water footprint offset projects
Detalles
The Nature and Man Foundation (FNYH) collects in this document information on different projects related to the environmental compensation of the carbon footprint and the water footprint carried out by different companies.
The document shows examples developed in different locations, both in Spain and abroad, including:
· Campanarios de Azaba Biological Reserve (Castilla y León)
· Sierra de Gata (Cáceres, Extremadura)
· Network of farms in the Pasiega Mountain (Cantabria)
· Biological Corridor of the Paranaense Rainforest – Iguazú (Argentina-Brazil)
· Water footprint compensation projects in wetlands and more than 50 Mediterranean temporary ponds
The actions carried out by the FNYH, such as restorations, reforestation or the creation of biological reserves, have contributed to the preservation and improvement of biodiversity and ethnographic heritage, as well as to the increase in the carbon sequestration capacity of the areas in which the projects have taken place.
