| The European Commission is working on the launch of the EU Observatory on Deforestation and Forest Degradation, which aims to monitor changes in global forest cover and related drivers. In addition to providing access to global forest maps and spatial information related to forests and forestry, this Observatory will facilitate access to scientific information on supply chains, linking deforestation, forest degradation and changes in global forest cover with the Union's demand for products and goods. The data and information provided in this Observatory play a supporting role, but do not guarantee compliance with or imply non-compliance with EU Regulations, other legal frameworks or commitments, or agreements internacionales.de |
