Detalles
| In a global context, where environmental concerns are high on the agenda, the dairy ecosystem is aware of the need to undertake a process of transformation. The Spanish dairy sector, as an integral part of the food system, must urgently address a process of reducing its greenhouse gas emissions. This process should be aligned with the EU's overall objectives and policies. We are in a moment of climate emergency in which it is necessary to address public policies to address the decarbonization of certain sectors, including the livestock/beef sector. We have managed to bring together the most authoritative voices on this issue around this report to lay the foundations for what may be the future strategic plan for the decarbonisation of a sector. This decision is taken with the aim of raising awareness and energizing all the actors involved and promoting the transition towards more sustainable production models. |
