The Biodiversity Foundation, a participant in the SUSTAIN project

The Biodiversity Foundation participates in the SUSTAIN project of the Horizon Europe programme. The objective of this project is to provide companies, financial institutions and regulatory bodies with the knowledge and resources to better understand, evaluate and monitor the dependencies and impacts on the nature of the activities of different sectors of the economy.

This project is based on the results provided by the ENCORE project (Exploring Natural Capital Opportunities, Risks and Exposures) and will nourish, in turn, the IPBES, ALIGN and Transparent projects, the latter two being funded by the European Commission.

Through the IEEB Community of Practice, the Biodiversity Foundation will work on the dissemination of the results of the SUSTAIN project, and will feed back the project with the data that Spanish companies provide to improve the scope and quality of the metrics that are adopted.

The SUSTAIN project is coordinated by the Capitals Coalition and has other entities from the Netherlands and Belgium among its members. In addition, it has five partners from Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
