Technical Training Cycle “Solutions to exercise the due diligence established in the EUDR”
Detalles

From 30 December 2024, companies regulated by Regulation (EU) 2023/1115 concerning the placing on the market and export of raw materials and products associated with deforestation (EUDR), will have to ensure that the products in their supply chain are legally sourced and deforestation-free. Micro and small enterprises, except if they market wood products, will be able to do so as of June 30, 2025.
This Regulation imposes due diligence obligations on importers, exporters, traders and domestic producers and processors of the products listed in its Annex 1 in order to operate on the EU market.
Faced with this challenge, the Spanish Business and Biodiversity Initiative (IEEB) together with the Sub-Directorate General for Forest Policy and the Fight against Desertification of the Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge is organising a training cycle of three technical webinars in order to guide the sectors regulated in the EUDR Regulation.
This training cycle is also supported by the AL-INVEST Verde programme, funded by the European Union, which provides technical assistance to the Latin American public sector through the International and Ibero-American Foundation for Administration and Public Policies (FIIAPP) and the Italian-Latin American International Organisation (IILA)). During the cycle, AL-INVEST Verde will present some of the solutions it supports in Latin America to facilitate compliance with the EUDR Regulation in the EU.
The cycle* will also have the collaboration of the European Forest Institute (EFI), an entity recognized for its experience in supporting adaptation to the EUDR in producer countries.
