New Green Shots 2024: Latest trends and innovations in nature finance

With nature and biodiversity declining at an unprecedented rate, and with events such as the adoption of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (GBF) and the launch of the Financial Disclosure Framework on Nature-related Issues (TNFD), nature-related issues have been attracting increasing attention from the financial sector.

Thanks to this, innovations have been produced with the ultimate goal of slowing and reversing biodiversity loss in nature-related finance. Since 2022, the annual New Green Shoots webinar has kicked off the new year with a review of the latest innovative products in finance for nature that have hit the market. The online event is part of the “We need to talk about nature” series, jointly organised by the EU Business and Biodiversity Platform, the Finance for Biodiversity Foundation, UNEP FI and PRI.

This next year’s webinar will be held on 30 January at 14:00 CET to present the emerging trends in finance for nature from 2023, highlighting some innovative products and mechanisms with a high potential to expand in the market.
