This webinar will highlight the importance and benefits of an integrated perspective on nature and climate risks, present pioneering work on climate-nature scenario analysis, showcase modelling frameworks supporting integrated scenario development and some preliminary findings and provide a suitable forum to discuss the relevance of modelling results for financial risk assessments by central banks, financial institutions and corporations.

The session will be moderated by Emily McKenzie, Technical Director of TNFD, and will feature a panel of speakers consisting of:

– Miodrag Stevanovic, Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research, who will present the report BCE-PIK-NatureFinance: Developing climate and nature scenarios for financial risk assessment.
– Nicola Ranger, University of Oxford, who will present nature-related financial risk scenarios in the UK.
– Ale Melis, Senior Technical Manager at TNFD, will share with attendees a TNFD discussion paper on advanced scenario analysis.
– Serafín Martínez, Banco de México, NGFS Scenarios Working Group, who will present the technical paper “NGFS: Recommendations for the development of scenarios for the assessment of nature-related economic and financial risks”
