Business transformation for nature recovery

Detalles

The Cambridge Sustainability Leadership Institute (CISL) will bring together a group of leading companies to discuss business model transformation in support of nature-positive outcomes. Participants will benefit from the knowledge gained in CISL’s latest work in this area and will have the opportunity to share experiences, knowledge and good practices with other organisations at the forefront of nature-positive innovation.

CISL works to understand how a system-level transformation of the economy can be achieved to support nature-positive outcomes. Increasingly, business and financial leadership groups are recognizing the critical role that natural systems must play in promoting sustainable economic activity, but also in ensuring positive outcomes for people and the climate.

CISL’s recent work covers areas as diverse as an engagement guide for financial institutions on nature and climate-related risks; guidance for the agri-food sector on nature; and a manual on setting science-based nature targets for companies in the fashion sector, to name just a few examples.

Based on this experience, they are currently trying to understand how business models can be transformed to deliver nature-positive outcomes, and we are trying to engage with a broad spectrum of companies as part of this.

Their interest is to know how to catalyse business innovation in supply chains in different sectors, including the creation of new business models in which value creation is based on obtaining positive results for nature.

This event will bring together companies of different sizes and sectors to engage in an open dialogue about the challenges, opportunities and lessons learned from their efforts to integrate nature into the core of their businesses.
