Biodiversity Basics Webinar

Detalles

When it comes to biodiversity, business as usual is no longer desirable or acceptable. The Biodiversity Basics webinars aim to help newcomers to the field of biodiversity and support them on their journey towards building a business with a positive impact on nature.

During the session, insights will be provided to understand how the latest trends and regulatory requirements in this space can be used as a positive driving force for businesses.

Biodiversity is essential to the processes that underpin all life on Earth and forms the basis of our economy and healthy, prosperous societies. It is critical to our well-being and livelihoods, and its dramatic decline currently poses a serious systemic risk to our economy.

Following the momentum of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework, the year 2024 is critical for biodiversity, as companies are being asked to take action to improve their relationships with nature in the run-up to COP 16. However, many companies are not fully aware of the importance of biodiversity for sustainable development.

Many companies are not fully aware of the extent to which they depend on biodiversity and ecosystems, and the impact they have on them. Nor are they always able to anticipate new regulatory approaches and the material risks they may entail.

This webinar on biodiversity basics, to be held on 4 July from 14:00 to 15:00 CEST, will help organisations get up to speed on biodiversity fundamentals and the regulatory landscape, showcasing practical changes to preserve biodiversity and restore natural capital and encouraging transformative action to future-proof businesses.
