The IUCN workshop on the high seas (3-4 September 2024) focused on identifying and developing activities that will help prepare for the designation of area-specific management tools (ABMTs), including marine protected areas (MPAs), under the BBNJ.

This report provides a synthesis of the common messages and themes that emerged throughout the sessions.
