| Spainsif continues with the work it began in 2009 with the publication of studies on the Sustainable and Responsible Investment (SRI) market in Spain. The data in this study are based on responses from 60 asset managers and owners, 33 national entities and 27 international entities, to the questionnaire developed based on the Eurosif methodology. The participants in the study total 491,136 million euros, 72% of the market on the calculation of the total collective investment. This study analyses the evolution of assets under management with ESG criteria in Spain in 2022; a year marked by abundant regulatory developments in sustainable finance and a complex macroeconomic plan, attributable to Russia's war in Ukraine, the shortage of raw materials and energy resources, and the rise in inflation. The study again includes an approach to the Latin American and Caribbean region, analyzing the sustainable debt market and its taxonomic developments. Observed results Among the main conclusions of the study, it is worth highlighting the growth of the Active Engagement and Voting Policies strategy, which is ranked as the first strategy in terms of assets under management, followed by the ESG Integration strategy. In general, assets managed with some ESG criteria that are marketed in Spain have managed to increase their weight over total assets, representing 55% of the total monitored in 2022. These data show the continued sophistication of SRI Strategies in recent years. As for the perceptions collected about the expected growth of SRI, an optimistic view predominates, especially in the long term. |
