Seven years to save nature and people: a proposed set of policies and actions for the SDG Summit

Detalles

We have reached the halfway point of the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and, taking stock of the progress made so far, it is sobering to realise that we are a long way from achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Despite progress on many of the goals, the acute and lingering effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the war in Ukraine, and the associated food, energy, and debt crises have halted or reversed progress in many areas. We are only on track to meet 12% of the targets, and none of the targets, by 2030.
As one of the leading organizations in nature conservation and stewardship of five SDG indicators, IUCN takes a close look at the four "nature-related" goals in this report: SDGs 6, 13, 14 and 15.
The purpose is to account for their progress, as well as a set of actions that can accelerate progress towards achieving the SDGs by 2030, supporting the UN Secretary-General's Rescue Plan for People and Planet.
