Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) on the implementation of the EUDR Regulation
Detalles
Many countries around the world have made significant efforts over the past decade to reduce deforestation, for example by introducing moratoriums or measures to improve transparency in the supply chain. However, deforestation and forest degradation continue at an alarming rate, contributing more than 10% of global greenhouse gas emissions. The EU is committed to fostering inclusive partnerships with producer countries to address deforestation on a global scale. The EU continues to work with partner countries and companies to ensure a successful transition to deforestation-free supply chains. This document is a working document drafted by the Commission services to provide information to national authorities, operators and other stakeholders for the implementation of Regulation (EU) 2023/1115 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 31 May 2023 on the making available on the Union market and for the export from the Union of certain products and goods associated with deforestation and degradation of and repealing Regulation (EU) No 995/2010[1] (referred to herein as "the Regulation", "this Regulation" or "EUDR"). |
