Food System Data

Detalles

The Food System Data tool is designed to provide the most credible figures around the food system, food system change, and the transition to plant-rich diets. To do this, its developers have compiled datasheets based on the latest evidence to show the impact of diets on the environment, animals and health, and to provide insights into current developments and new opportunities.

Food System Data consists of two modules:
  • A knowledge hub that contains high-level information on the impacts of our food systems in short fact sheets. It focuses on short bullet points and infographics to make the information as accessible as possible. All datasheets are living documents: they will be updated frequently as new research is published and their developers are working on greater modularity to update and exchange information quickly.
  • The second module on information on food system trends is still under development. It will be a tool that shows the current trajectories of consumption, production, the evolution of markets and the policies that mark the path towards the transformation of the food system. The rich data provided by various sources will be showcased to show current trends in food system transformation.
