On the Path to EUDR Compliance

EUDR is the acronym for the European Union Regulation on Deforestation-Free Products. The regulation came into force on June 29, 2023 and must be applied from December 30, 2024, considering regulations for operators and traders for wood products both importers and exporters from the EU. PEFC has established a roadmap to demonstrate compliance with the requirements of the EUDR standard. While the standards are already well-positioned to comply with many key elements of the regulation, “we are working intensively to align them more closely with EUDR requirements. PEFC-certified chain-of-custody companies and PEFC-certified forest owners will soon be able to benefit from our practical solutions to enable them to successfully implement the EUDR regulation,” states PEFC’s official site dedicated to publishing exclusive content on the subject. The progress in the PEFC – EUDR roadmap will be presented on February 27 in an on-line seminar that will have simultaneous translation into Spanish. REGISTRATION FOR THE 10:00 A.M.
