Nature for Life is a leading virtual event and global communications campaign organized annually by the United Nations Development Programme and its partners. Its approach is aimed at placing nature at the centre of sustainable development by convening world leaders, businesses, NGOs, indigenous peoples, youth leaders and activists to take ambitious action for nature. This year, the proposal is to ask its entire network of changemakers to reimagine the future in the face of the urgent and unprecedented challenges facing our planet’s biodiversity. In this situation, it is essential that we take collective action to protect, restore and sustainably manage ecosystems around the world, and that we place nature at the heart of sustainable development. This year’s event will serve as a vital platform to help catalyze nature conversations, bringing together stakeholders from governments, civil society, academia, and the private sector to exchange knowledge and innovative solutions, forge alliances and collaboration, and increase awareness and ambition about nature. |
