TEAMING UP 4 FORESTS is hosting this webinar to launch a new evidence-based synthesis report on Europe’s timber supply in times of crisis. In this session, the main findings of this report will be presented and views will be exchanged with stakeholders. The crucial factors affecting Europe’s timber supply will be unravelled and concrete measures to address emerging challenges will be discussed. Background Forests in Europe are heavily affected by climate change and face many additional challenges, such as political uncertainties and a fragmented forest landscape. A key challenge for Europe is to secure, maintain and improve the sustainable supply of wood from its forest ecosystems. This requires an in-depth understanding of the factors influencing timber supply and concrete response measures based on sound evidence.
