The World Policy Forum on Natural Capital is the main annual event of the World Sustainability Programme. Co-organized with the United Nations Statistics Division, the forum aims to connect users – mainly the investment community and policymakers – with data and analytics providers, to share knowledge and experiences on incorporating accounting and natural capital approaches into decision-making. The 7th World Policy Forum on Natural Capital, “Implementing the Global Biodiversity Framework: Leveraging Natural Capital Data, Accounting and Analysis to Inform Policies”, which will take place in Kagali (Rwanda) and in a The online project will bring together governments and other stakeholders to discuss policies that will help implement National Biodiversity Strategies and Action Plans (NBSAPs) and thus contribute to the achievement of the goals and targets of the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework. Over two days, sessions will focus on highlighting the importance and need to leverage existing data and analysis on natural capital and ecosystem services, including natural capital accounting, to design such policies and actions.
