“CSRD and Biodiversity: keys to comply with the new requirements”

Detalles

There is currently a strong international consensus that highlights the importance of involving all actors to reverse the loss of biodiversity.

The activity of companies contributes to the main drivers of biodiversity loss, both through their direct operations as well as their entire value chain. The identification of the impacts and dependencies that these activities have on nature is essential for companies to be able to manage the risks and opportunities linked to biodiversity and to be able to develop strategies that allow the creation of sustainable value.

There are factors that mobilize companies to action, such as the financial sector, which is increasingly integrating impacts on nature as an element of risk assessment for organizations. Another is the progress in legislative actions related to disclosure, such as the European Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), which came into force in January 2023 and where one of the areas reached is reporting on impacts on biodiversity.

In this webinar, the obligations that the new directive establishes in relation to biodiversity and how companies can address them will be delved into.

The panel of speakers is made up of:
• David Álvarez, executive director of Ecoacsa, who will delve into how to address this issue within organizations and what are some of the key tools and elements that companies should consider in order to define their path and develop their roadmap towards biodiversity.
• Mercedes Ziegner, Supply Chain Senior Consultant, and Juan Andrés Salido, Country Manager Iberia at DNV, who will talk about how to bring confidence and value to this transformation process through independent evaluation.
