Building Bridges Edition 2024

The The Building Bridges Summit will take place on December 9 and will feature high-level dialogues and speeches from thought leaders on the future of finance. It aims to unite the ecosystem around a common vision of accelerating the transition to a global economic model aligned with the needs of the SDGs.

Discussions will explore the twin crises of climate and nature, rising social inequalities, and how to mobilize capital in unprecedented amounts to build a just, resilient, and sustainable future.

Some of the planned sessions will address how the mindset of investors, both private and public, is changing, who have so far prioritised short-term financial returns over long-term sustainability goals. The discussion will provide a comprehensive understanding of what constitutes a “purposeful portfolio” and how impact-driven investing balances financial returns with positive social and environmental outcomes.

There will also be space dedicated to nature finance and how to make nature count in investment portfolios, as well as to discuss investment opportunities to build prosperous and resilient societies.
