The Economics of Ecosystems and Biodiversity for Food and Agriculture (TEEBAgriFood) initiative recognises that the transformation of our food system is one of the most important challenges we face today. The food system is deeply dependent on the health of nature, and the current degradation it undergoes has a major impact on agricultural enterprises, workers, local communities, biodiversity, food security, public health, the economy, and the climate.
The project team has worked with companies around the world with the overall goal of building resilience, mainstreaming best practices, protecting biodiversity and contributing to a more sustainable agriculture and food sector in 7 EU countries. partner countries: Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico and Thailand.
This video shows the experience of the Liv Up (Brazil) team, who completed the training provided by TEEBAgrifood and started conducting an assessment within their business to work on a pilot implementation of TEEBAgriFood's Draft Operational Guidelines for Companies.
