“It’s Now for Nature”: First Nature Strategy Manuals published

GSK, one of the world's largest biopharmaceutical companies, Kering, which represents some of the world's largest luxury goods brands, French energy company Engie, cement company Taiwan Cement Corporation and British sustainable hairdressing SME Anne Veck Limited have been the top five companies whose Nature Playbooks have been reviewed and accepted as part of the "It's Now for Nature" campaign Nature"), promoted by the global coalition Business for Nature.

For a Nature Playbook to be presented as part of the global campaign, it must include:

  • A materiality assessment to identify material impacts, dependencies, risks, and opportunities.
  • SMART objectives aligned with material impacts, dependencies, risks and opportunities.
  • Actions to achieve SMART objectives and, in particular, to avoid and reduce negative impacts on nature; based on material impacts, dependencies, risks and opportunities.
  • Approval of the strategy by senior management or the board of directors and responsibility for its execution.
