IUCN Leaders Forum 2024
Detalles

The IUCN Leaders Forum 2024 is an event organized by the International Union for Conservation of Nature that will be held from October 8 to 10 in Geneva, Switzerland.
Under the theme “Harnessing Innovation, Enabling Conservation”, this forum will bring together global leaders in conservation and sustainability from more than 70 countries and provide an ideal platform to highlight innovative solutions that address the triple planetary crisis and include nature at the nexus of energy systems, food and agriculture, and human health.
This requires redesigning financial instruments, leveraging technologies, applying relevant standards, and adopting a rights-based approach to conservation. Building on previous editions, the event will provide an opportunity to take stock of the progress made in innovations in monitoring, regulatory frameworks and reporting directives, and outreach and accountability tools.
The event will explore innovative financing to accelerate change, including increasing private sector financing, leveraging private philanthropy, redirecting grants, and aligning climate and biodiversity funds to meet global goals, including through emerging instruments such as biodiversity credits.
